Mrs Francis Harris
Year 1 Teacher
I have worked at Rupert House for 8years, during which time I have also had two daughters. I am a Y1 teacher which I love because each term we have a different, exciting topic. We learn about dinosaurs, explorers, air travel and space! Some of my favourite things about Rupert House are the extracurricular activities. We have an amazing Forest School, which the children are so at home in. There is not a better place to be on a sunny day.
My mother was a teacher and I always saw it as something I would do in my future.
Whilst at school I started rowing, it soon became a passion and something I was very good at. I visited amazing places all over the world whilst competing internationally.
I decided to study Sports Science at Durham University and continued to pursue my rowing. I visited Henley-on-thames each summer for regatta and have always thought it was a wonderful place.
After University I worked as Head of Rowing at three Senior schools. After getting married I started to think about family and pursuing a career teaching younger children.
My husband, James, and I moved south in 2014. It seemed a bit surreal to be back in Henley working and living in such a special place where James, Isabelle, Evelyn and I are all very happy.
