Staing safe online

On Tuesday this week we joined others nationwide to celebrate Safer Internet Day 2025, the largest global online safety campaign.

At Rupert House all the children have taken part in internet safety activities. This year's theme was ‘Too good to be true?’ which focused on teaching children how to identify and avoid scams.

In Assembly Mrs Fletcher introduced our new box that will live in the ICT room, where children can report any anonymous worries about online safety.

Reception talked about all the fun things you can do on computers and on the internet. They identified who they could talk to if they see something that worries them online.

Year 1 talked about who their trusted adults are and made a class poster sharing all the things they know about staying safe online.

Year 2 took a Safer Internet Quiz to see how much they know and they did really well!

Year 3 talked about what a scam is and how you might identify one. They looked at different scenarios and tried to identify whether they could be a scam or not.

Year 4 learnt about our SMART rules for staying safe online and created their own PowerPoint presentations which they shared with the younger children in Year 1 and Year 3.

Year 5 and Year 6 learnt about phishing scams. They used Canva to design their own computer screens with hidden scams.

Can you spot their hidden scams?
