One Week Challenge
This week, we have joined with others from our Henley community by taking part in the One Week challenge.
Year 6 kicked off the week at school with an assembly where they shared some energy saving ideas and tips with the rest of the school and talked about why reducing our energy usage is important for our planet.
On Wednesday, we challenged the teachers to attempt a ‘No Photocopy Day’ and on Friday, the school was plunged into semi-darkness when all lights and computers were turned off for our ‘Hour without Power’.
It has been wonderful to hear the children reminding each other (and sometimes the teachers!) to turn off the lights when they leave a room and there are lots of good energy–saving habits we will all be taking away from our challenges this week.
