Year 1 fly to Maurituis (almost!)
Year 1 took a plane to Mauritius today...almost!
Their pilots were Mrs Eccles and Mr Meagher, who kindly told the children all about how planes fly and all the best bits about being a pilot. This was a great session linked to our topic, 'Up in the air'.
The children sat in rows, as if on an aeroplane, and had boarding passes which gave them access to the classroom. Mrs Potts gave the flight attendant speech, ably assisted my Mrs Harris who pointed out the emergency exits and demonstrated how to fasten their seatbelts. The in-flight snack of popcorn was very well received!
