Year 4 Anglo-Saxon morning
Year 4 spent the morning doing Anglo-Saxon-themed outdoor activities in Forest School.
Their Anglo-Saxon morning included collecting firewood, toasting bread on an open fire, rehearsing and performing group sketches, reading sections of their class fiction book around the fire, completing teamwork challenges and keeping warm in blankets with the Anglo-Saxon brooches the children made last week.
They ate their toast with the suitably Anglo-Saxon accompaniment of honey, and even made their own butter using heavy cream!
