Well done to the winning Wishford writers
Before half term, the children at Rupert House were given the opportunity to enter our first Wishford Story Competition, which involved all the Prep schools in the Wishford group.
Class teachers chose two entries from each year group to be entered into the final stage of the competition, and the stories were judged by the Year 7 children at Westonbirt Senior school. The children entered into the competition were:
- Arthur Williams and Jack Friend in Year 1
- Alice Craney and Ottilie Lamb in Year 2
- Benjamin Goater and Posy Molnar in Year 3
- Alba Graham and Rafaela Dunn in Year 4
- Rosie Boyd-Carpenter and Charlie Tonks in Year 5
- Eloise Wouters and Zara Maloney in Year 6.
The pupils at Westonbirt Senior School enjoyed all of the stories so much, and had the difficult task of choosing the 3rd, 2nd and first place stories.
We have some fantastic results to announce:
- Ottilie Lamb - 1st place for Year 2
- Benjamin Goater - 3rd place for Year 3
- Rafaela Dunn - 2nd place for Year 4
- Rosie Boyd-Carpenter - 3rd place for Year 5
- Eloise Wouters - 1st place for Year 6
It is wonderful that so many children from Rupert House were recognised given how many schools there are in the Wishford Group. Congratulations to all of our writers and I hope they continue to have a passion for writing!
