Visit from GB rower
The Prep school children were treated to a visit from an Olympic and World Champion rower in their assembly on Thursday 7th December.
Toby Garbett, who has competed in several Olympics and World Cups, shared his amazing story, his achievements and in particular his mindset and processes to help him reach the top. It was very inspiring, and fantastic to watch him and the children all rowing together. Hopefully, his visit will encourage our children to ‘Aim High’ – one of his many mantras. He also talked about stepping out of your comfort zone when trying new activities.
Toby then held the Year 4 PE lesson together with Mr McArthur, teaching the children team-based exercises in trust and strength.
