Making memories at Henley Royal Regatta

The Year 6 children enjoyed a very special day at Henley Royal Regatta on Tuesday 2nd July

Dressed in their finest outfits, complete with school blazers, they headed to the river together with Mr Armitage, Mrs Harris and Mrs Fletcher. They arrived in style at the start line, near Temple Island, on a Hobbs of Henley boat and took a leisurely walk along the river, back towards the Leander Club and Stewards Enclosure.

They were given a tour of Leander Club and met with rowers from various schools, collages and universities including a boys' school from Miami and a female rower from Southampton. The children enjoyed spotting blazers very similar to their own!

They sat in the iconic HRR deck chairs to watch some racing and devoured ice creams at the Barn Bar.

It was a wonderful day. Thank you to the parents who donated passes which enabled the children to experience a wonderful day and make lasting memories.
