Happy Hub with Years 2 & 3
This week in the Happy Hub, Mrs Harris, Mr Wuestner, Mrs Newman and Mrs Sheriff organised an activity incorporating a knife, a fork and some chocolate for Year 2 and 3 children.
The game involved wearing thick gloves, a hat and a scarf before opening a block of chocolate and cutting off pieces with a knife and a fork. The teachers rolled a dice and each time a 6 was rolled a change of player took place. This fun activity encouraged the children to take turn, be patient, be supportive with others and be resilient. It was great to witness the children working well in teams and they definitely enjoyed eating a square of chocolate or two!
What a great way to start a Friday! As we progress throughout the summer term, we there will be even more opportunities for Years 2 and 3 to mix.
