Digital discovery day
On Monday 4th November we had some exciting digital workshops in school delivered by 'Three Discovery'.
The Reception children were thrilled to have the chance to create their own posters with Three Discovery! Working in pairs and using tablets, they wrote their names in the colours and designs of their choice. They then took photos of each other and uploaded them onto their posters. Everyone had a wonderful time exploring various colours and designs!
Year 1 had a fantastic experience with Jabez, who showed the children how to use PicCollage to make a digital poster. They worked in pairs to create posters that included a photo of themselves, emojis, unique backgrounds and a title. Highlights for the children included writing their name because you could choose the glitter, typing their own name, taking photos with friends and choosing the stickers!
Year 2 took part in a cartoon making workshop. They worked in pairs to create an online scene and personalised characters for their stories. They loved adding voice-overs to make their characters come alive and see their individualised story become animated.
The children in Year 4 loved their workshop with Three Discovery. They learned how to make a stop-motion animation using Lego and an iPad. They made a moving picture, added titles, credits and even background music and sound effects.
