A rally good day playing Real Tennis!
On Thursday 27th February, a group of Year 5 children went to The Oratory Senior School for a Real Tennis Experience Day.
The Oratory are very fortunate to have one of only 14 Real Tennis courts in the country. The children were coached by the current Ladies World Champion – Claire Fahey. We were joined by children from some other schools, and after a morning of expert coaching, followed by a wonderful lunch, the children played in a pairs tournament.
Charlie T and Otto G won 2 matches and lost 1, and Teddy M and Charlotte V lost 2 and won 1. This was not enough to put them into the finals, but they came away with a certificate and memories of a fantastic experience!
